JILLIAN DIGHTON

When I was four I drew my first portrait that caused polarizing reactions, my parents wanted to keep it but my sister despised the rendition of her in a moment of terror. Don’t tell her, but they still have it.

A couple years later my art teacher brought this world of creativity to life. From there I explored my emotions and my perception in processing the present moment, which led to a creative branch shooting into reading, writing and other creative outlets.

I believe I will be forever grateful for being allowed to follow my dreams, and forcing myself to follow them even when it is difficult in every frame.

I have my undergraduate degree in English Literature, Psychology, and Evolutionary Anthropology. Due to my love of literature and my dedication to the craft I was able to study abroad, writing short stories and essays in the same classrooms and pubs as writers, like Russel T. Davies and J.R.R. Tolkien.
